ABOUT THE ACADEMY
A family conviction, carried across nations
EK²SBD — the Ikefuama Family Academy for Goodwill, Sports, Peace Seminars, and Noahide Wisdom — exists to make cooperation practical, teachable and joyful.
OUR STORY
It began with a simple question
What would it take for young people in Lagos, Windhoek and Jerusalem to know one another — not as headlines, but as teammates?
The Ikefuama Family Academy grew out of that question. Sport gave us the first answer: a court is one of the few places where strangers become collaborators within minutes. Education gave us the second: shared study turns a good afternoon into a lasting relationship.
From there the work widened naturally — leadership training for those ready to take responsibility, peace seminars for communities carrying difficult histories, humanitarian projects where needs were plain, and Noahide wisdom as a moral foundation broad enough to welcome everyone.
We are early in this journey, and we say so openly. What follows on this site describes both what we are doing now and what we intend to build.

Strengthened friendships between nations and communities, built on character, mutual respect, healthy living and practical cooperation.

To inspire a new generation committed to service, goodwill and hope through sport, education, leadership and international partnership.
THE SOLOMON BEN DOVID ERA
Why EK² carries the name of an era
EK²SBD stands for EK Squared — Solomon Ben Dovid Era. It names an aspiration rather than a claim: an age remembered, in the biblical account, for wisdom, building, and peaceful relations between peoples.
Solomon's era is associated with a temple built by many hands, trade between distant kingdoms and a reputation for discernment. Those are working values for us: build together, trade in ideas as well as goods, and think carefully before acting.
Naming an era rather than a person keeps the emphasis where it belongs — on the kind of world we hope to help create, and on the many people it will take to create it.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Six values we can be held to
These are not slogans. They are the standards we want partners, participants and supporters to measure us against.
Character before achievement
Trophies fade. Honesty, humility and reliability travel with a young person for life.
Honesty about progress
We distinguish clearly between what exists today and what we are still working to build.
Respect across difference
We welcome every background. Shared moral principles let us disagree well and work together anyway.
Learning from history
Remembrance done responsibly protects the future. We study hard chapters with care and respect.
Service as a habit
Leadership is measured by what you build for others, not by what you accumulate for yourself.
Cooperation over isolation
Nations and neighbourhoods both grow stronger when people have real reasons to work side by side.
SPORTS & GOODWILL
The court as a first classroom
Basketball is where many of our relationships begin. It asks for fitness, patience and communication, and it gives back confidence — quickly and visibly.
Around the game we build fitness education, coaching pathways, mentorship and community events that welcome families, not only players.
NOAHIDE WISDOM
A moral language broad enough for everyone
The Seven Noahide Laws (Sheva Mitzvot Bnei Noach) set out universal principles concerning justice, respect for life, honesty and the dignity of every person.
We study these seven principles openly and without pressure, as ethics anyone can examine. Participants of every faith and none are welcome, and no one is asked to change their identity in order to learn.

Traditional teaching centres on seven laws. We present them as seven positive pillars — each one a commitment rather than a prohibition.

Recognise one Creator as the source of all life, and let that awareness shape how we treat one another.

Respect Marriage
Honour the bonds of family and faithfulness, on which stable homes and stable societies rest.

Preserve Justice
Establish fair courts and honest systems, so that right is protected and wrongdoing answered.

Respect G-d
Speak of the Divine with reverence, and hold sacred language and sacred trust with care.

Respect Property
Deal honestly. What belongs to another is not ours to take, whether by force or by cleverness.

Respect Life
Every human life carries irreducible dignity. Protecting it is the first duty of any community.

Respect Animals
Treat living creatures with compassion, and refuse cruelty even where no law compels us.
ISRAEL & AFRICA
Two regions, one continuing conversation
Our work is deliberately shared between Israel and Africa. Study visits to Jerusalem meet athletic and leadership programmes in Nigeria and Namibia, so that exchange runs in both directions.
Looking ahead: Regular two-way exchanges — African participants travelling to Israel and Israeli participants joining programmes in Africa — are a long-term goal we are actively planning toward.

The Ikefuama family sets out a simple purpose: use sport, education and moral wisdom to draw people together across Israel and Africa.
FIRST STEPS
Sport as the meeting point
Community basketball becomes the opening chapter — accessible, joyful, and immediately able to gather young people and families.
PRESENT
Programmes take shape
Leadership training, Noahide study circles and peace seminars are developed alongside the athletic programme in Nigeria.
NEXT
Namibia campus and museum
A retreat campus, museum and educational resource centre in Namibia, dedicated to leadership, nature and historical understanding.

Regular educational travel to Jerusalem and historical sites, paired with structured Noahide learning and cultural exchange.

Formal partnerships with schools, sports bodies and civic institutions on several continents, sustaining exchange year after year.
